Requests for Partnerships for Olney Days 2024
To further our mission of supporting nonprofits serving the Olney area, we are requesting partnerships with nonprofit groups that can help us have the best Olney Days Party in the Park possible.
There are various jobs that need a coordinated group to complete the task, and in return, a donation will be made to the group. Below are the jobs and applications and the donations start at $1,000. Olney Civic Fund will support the group in the planning stages in order to have a successful event. Please contact us if you have any questions. All applications are due December 30, 2023 with decisions made in January 2024.
Certificates of Insurance and waivers will be required. For MCPS groups, Olney Civic Fund can put you in contact with the correct person to request the needed items. Olney Civic Fund can provide waivers if necessary.

Games
Olney Civic Fund has developed Minute to Win It style games which are designed for middle school and older folks. The challenge is to complete the task in one minute. Most games involve stacking, sorting, or balancing. See the games in action. The ideal partner will have a large group of volunteers to run the games and in exchange will share in the revenue earned. Table and Chairs
Party in the Park has need for set up and take down of approximately 110 six to eight-foot folding tables, 40 folding cocktail tables, and 375 folding chairs and the parade has the need for approximately 5 tables and 75 chairs. The ideal partner will have enough strong volunteers to set up and take down these items. Click here to learn more.
Fun on the Field
Olney Days Party in the Park has activities called Fun on the Field which are free to participate. These activities include running the baseball bases (timed), soccer balls with small goals, cones, can jam, tug of war, frisbees, and similar activities. To keep everyone safe and all the equipment returned, this area needs supervision and encouragement to play in a positive way. The ideal partner will have a group of outgoing volunteers who will engage with the public to play games. Click here to learn more.
Waste Management
With 8000 people and 15 food trucks at Party in the Park, we need to talk trash. To reduce our carbon footprint, we are striving to be a zero waste event in which waste is either recycled or composted. This means the waste stream needs to be sorted before it is "thrown away." The ideal partner will have a large group of environmentally conscious people who are willing to engage with the public and talk trash. Click here to learn more.
