Minute To Win It Games

Minute To Win It Games seem to be simple tasks but the challenge is completing them in one minute.  Most involve sorting, stacking, or balancing.
These games are best for folks who will not get frustrated if they don't win the first, second, or even third try. With some practice (and sometimes a little luck) each game can be done in one minute. The fact they are so challenging makes winning even sweeter.

For $15 you get an unlimited play wristband for over 15 different games. This allows plenty of opportunity to play the games several times, and hopefully to win it in a minute.

Each winner of a game will receive a blue ticket which can be redeemed for a special treat.  Note: limit of 3 prizes per individual game

Giant Slingshot

Use the Giant Slingshot and see if you can land a ball in one of the targets - $5 for 15 balls.  Money raised from the Slingshot helps pay for the event.  Olney Days costs over $55,000.  Sponsorships pay for half of the cost but sales of toys, games, slingshot, and the beer & wine are needed so the event can continue to be free to attend.

Fire Safety by Sandy Spring Volunteer Fire Department

FREE:   On site will be an interactive simulation of a house that children (and adults) can enter.  It is equipped with a simulated living room, kitchen, and bedroom area and volunteer fire fighters teach children to recognize and cope with a variety of home safety hazards in a safe, guided and supervised environment. The tour ends with a simulated escape from a house fire. Safe, artificial smoke seeps into the room, and the smoke detectors activate to simulate an emergency situation. The children are then shown how to crawl to the door, and check it for heat. A small heater warms the door and the students learn to use an alternate escape. Practice in the "stop, drop, and roll" technique to extinguish clothing fires is featured, and the children receive coloring books and other materials to take with them.
