Olney Days Opportunities
Parade Signage
Review map work with Parade Organizer for locations of each sign (provided)
Put signs up on the Sunday before parade (April 21)
Take down signs after the parade (4 pm April 28)
Time Commitment:
Approximately 6 hours = 1 hour to get the signs and map, 3 hours to put up the signs, and 2 hours to take them down
Social Media Guru
Create and post on Facebook and Instagram starting mid-March through Olney Days weekend.
Respond to comments/questions.

Party in the Park Opportunities
Light Up Toy Sales Coordinator
Olney Civic Fund sells light up toys at Party in the Park to raise funds to pay for Olney Days. This position would oversee ~ 8 volunteers (students and adults) selling toys at Party in the Park on Saturday April 27 from 3:00 - 8:30 pm
Time Commitment: Approximately 9 hours (3 hours deciding on what to order & creating signage, 6 hours on site at Party in the Park for the sale)
Slingshot Coordinator
Olney Civic Fund has three giant slingshots to use as a fundraiser at Party in the Park. Coordinator oversees ~15 volunteers (students and adults). Party in the Park is on Saturday April 27 and the Giant Slingshot will run from 3:00 - 8:00 pm

Board of Director members oversee operations, sets policies, and approves the budget. The board meets monthly.
Olney Civic Fund Fundraising Committee
Reach out to current and potential sponsors and share sponsor benefits
Follow up with confirmed sponsors to be sure they receive their benefits (e.g. delivering decals, parking passes)
Write thank you notes
Secure raffles for various events
Time Commitment varies depending on role within the committee
Olney Civic Fund Business and Community Relations Committee
Event planning (Olney Days, Olney Barrel Aged Beer Event, It's Olney Time, etc.)
Maintaining a list of non-profit organizations in Olney
Maintaining a list of adult volunteers
Time Commitment varies depending on role within the committee
Olney Civic Fund Gifting Committee
Review grant applications
Make recommendations to the Board for funding
Establish ad hoc gifting recommendation
Follow up on grant recipients regarding use of grant money
Time Commitment varies depending on role within the committee. Primary time needed is January - March each year
