2027 Grant and Olney Days RFP News
Grant applications and Requests for Partnerships (RFPs) for 2027 will be available on or about October 1, 2026. Applications will be due December 31, 2026 and winners will be announced by February 1.
Where does the money come from that OCF grants out?
Our District 14 delegation was able to get state funding for Olney Civic Fund to further its mission to make Olney a vibrant place to live and work. Additional funding depends mostly on the weather. Olney Days Party in the Park is our main fundraiser for the entire year. Our model for depends squarely on the sponsorship of local businesses and citizens. Our sponsors underwrite half of the $60,000 cost of Olney Days. When the weather for Olney Days Party in the Park is amazing, we have high attendance with earn needed proceeds from the sales of beer and wine, parking, fun on the field entrance fees, and light up toy sales. But, on a rainy day, we are lucky to break even. That’s why our sponsors are so critical. Our sponsors sustain the event allowing Olney Civic Fund to raise money to support groups in the community.
